For the sauce
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce Opt for a premium brand like Lee Kum Kee for authentic flavor.
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce Tamari sauce is a great gluten-free substitute.
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce Look for brands with quality ingredients to enhance umami.
  • 1 tablespoon Golden Mountain Sauce or Maggi Seasoning Both add a savory element—pick your favorite!
  • 2 teaspoon sugar (optional) Adjust the sweetness according to your taste, or use honey for a natural alternative.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a glass jar or well-sealing container, combine the oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, and Golden Mountain Sauce. Use a whisk or spoon to mix everything together until uniform.
  2. In a small heat-proof bowl, add a splash of hot water to the sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Pour the dissolved sugar mixture into the sauce blend and stir to combine.
  4. Seal the jar and store it in the fridge until ready to use. This sauce can last up to a month.
  5. Use about 1 tablespoon of sauce per serving, adjusting the amount for a sweeter or more robust flavor if desired.
