For the Brussels Sprouts
  • 1 lb Brussels Sprouts Choose firm, bright green heads.
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Opt for organic for a cleaner taste.
  • 2 Tbsp Honey or Maple Syrup For a vegan option, use maple syrup.
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Grated Ginger
  • 2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds (optional) For added texture.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper To enhance natural flavors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts into baby bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), olive oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  4. Toss the sprouts in the sauce until each piece is well coated.
  5. Spread them out on a baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
Serving
  1. Serve warm as a delightful side dish, ideally with grilled salmon or chicken.

Notes

For a crunch, consider adding pumpkin or sunflower seeds before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
