  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth Homemade broth is preferable.
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Chopped parsley for garnish For garnish.

Method
 

Searing the Chicken
  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Cook them until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Building the Flavor Base
  1. In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
Introducing the Rice
  1. Stir in the rice, mixing it well with the onion and garlic. Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
Return the Chicken
  1. Reduce the heat to low, return the chicken to the skillet, and cover it to simmer for about 20 minutes.
Creating Creamy Goodness
  1. Pour in the heavy cream, gently stirring, and heat through for another 5 minutes.
Garnish and Serve
  1. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
