Ingredients
  

Beef and Marinade
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, sliced thinly Opt for grass-fed beef for a richer flavor.
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch For marinating.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Or tamari for a gluten-free option.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce Use plant-based oyster sauce for vegan option.
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Choose fresh, vibrant broccoli for best taste.
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • To taste salt and pepper
Serving
  • cooked rice For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
Cook the Beef
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, then remove from the pan and set aside.
Stir-Fry Aromatics
  1. In the same pan, add the remaining oil. Stir-fry the minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Cook the Broccoli
  1. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn bright green but still crispy.
Combine and Simmer
  1. Return the beef to the pan, pour in the beef broth and oyster sauce. Stir well and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

For best texture, avoid microwaving and use oven or air fryer to reheat. Consider adding bell peppers or snap peas for added nutrients.
